About the Author

I study the culture of higher education and the communication we use within that culture. My doctorate is in Adult, Higher and Community Education with a cognate in Communication Studies (from Ball State University). My Master's degree is in Communication Studies while my Bachelor's degree from Purdue University is in Agricultural Communication with minors in Communication Studies and International Studies. I currently teach Communication courses to undergraduates and serve in an administrative capacity. I am interested in the culture of higher education, faculty development, instructional communication (including social media), intercultural communication, technology and pedagogy. In short, I adore academia and the chance to study the culture of higher education through the changing lens of communication intrigues me.

As Teddy Roosevelt said, "Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing."
